Sixteen Candles (Gatinhas & Gatões) é um filme de comédia romântica de 1984 escrito e dirigido por John Hughes.

Estrelado por Molly Ringwald, Anthony Michael Hall e Michael Schoeffling o filme conta o drama vivido pela adolescente Samantha Baker (Molly Ringwald) no dia em que completa 16 anos.

Sam acorda acreditando que o dia será perfeito e que sua vida e seu corpo mudarão completamente, afinal está completando 16 anos! Mas nada parece começar bem, afinal estão todos preocupados com os preparativos para o casamento de sua irmã mais velha e ninguém parece se lembrar de seu aniversário.

Sam é apaixonada por um dos garotos mais bonitos e populares do colégio, Jake Ryan, que namora Caroline (a garota mais bonita do colégio, claro) e que provavelmente nunca notou sua existência (pelo menos é o que ela acredita). Para piorar tem que aturar Ted (Anthony Michael Hall), um nerd que não sai de seu pé e tenta conquistá-la a todo custo.

Depois de tantos problemas e quando tudo parece estar perdido, Sam conquista o garoto com a ajuda de quem menos esperava, Ted.

Impossível não tecer elogios quando se trata de um filme de John Hughes, pode até parecer exagero mas seria injusto não reconhecer todas as qualidades. E quando se trata de elenco e trilha sonora... é com ele mesmo.

Com um elenco excelente, o filme também conta com a atuação de John e Joan Cusack. E na trilha sonora podemos ouvir desde David Bowie, Spandau Ballet, Oingo Boingo e Billy Idol até The Specials e Madness. E isso só para citar alguns.

Como sempre, Hughes consegue ambientar muito bem a trama e seus personagens, apresentando sempre um filme agradável e que no final das contas atinge todas as idades. Com alguns personagens um tanto caricatos, consegue dar mais graça ainda a história.

Gatinhas e Gatões, assim como a maioria de seus filmes, é uma história simples mas que reflete bem a visão dramática que temos da vida quando adolescentes. Com um toque de comédia mostra a importância da amizade e que quando podemos contar com a família e os amigos tudo se encaixa.

Catch Me If You Can (Prenda-me se For Capaz) é um filme norte-americano de 2002, uma comédia dramática baseada na vida de Frank Abagnale Jr., que, antes de chegar aos 19 anos de idade, conseguiu milhões de dólares alegando ser um médico, advogado e um piloto de uma companhia aérea.

Seu principal crime foi falsificação de cheques, ficou tão experiente e habilidoso que o próprio FBI se dirigia a ele para ajudar na captura de outros falsificadores. Dirigido por Steven Spielberg, o filme é estrelado por Leonardo DiCaprio como Abagnale e Tom Hanks como Hanratty.

O filme se passa na década de 1960 e retrata a história de Frank Abagnale, que quando adolescente se disfarçava das mais diversas profissões e ganhou milhões de dólares com seus golpes.

Frodo e Sam aproximam-se ainda mais de Mordor com a finalidade de destruir o Um Anel. Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas e Gimli acompanhados do rei de Rohan e sua comitiva, chegam em Isengard onde encontram-se com Merry e Pippin e partem levando o Palantír. À noite, no palácio de Meduseld, Pippin o pega e a usa, revelando sua mente a Sauron. Gandalf parte com o hobbit para Minas Tirith, onde não consegue convencer o regente Denethor a acender os Faróis e pedir socorro aos aliados.

Frodo atravessa o Vale Morgul, de onde avistam a partida dos exércitos de Sauron para a guerra. Pippin, seguindo o plano de Gandalf, acende o farol de Amon Dîn. O pedido de socorro chega a Edoras, de onde o rei Théoden parte com seus homens para a concentração de tropas que haverá no Templo da Colina. Arwen tem uma visão de seu futuro filho, Eldarion, com Aragorn e decide retornar a Valfenda, convencendo seu pai a reforjar a espada antiga de Isildur, Narsil, e entregá-la a Aragorn.

Os exércitos de Mordor invadem e conquistam Osgiliath. Gandalf resgata Faramir durante a retirada e este revela sobre seu surpreendente encontro com Frodo e Sam. Denethor exige que Faramir retome Osgiliath dos inimigos, este parte para realizar a vontade do pai, mas é gravemente ferido. Gollum faz Frodo romper com Sam e dispensá-lo.(continua...)

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (O Senhor dos Anéis: As Duas Torres) é um filme de aventura e fantasia, segunda parte da adaptação cinematográfica da trilogia literária de J. R. R. Tolkien.

A Sociedade do Anel se desmanchou após a "Queda Má" de Gandalf o Cinzento e o ataque de Uruk-hais. Boromir morreu; Frodo e Sam continuam no caminho da Montanha da Perdição; Pippin e Merry foram capturados pelos Uruk-hai; e Aragorn, Legolas e Gimli foram ao seu resgate.

Ao descerem Emyn Muil, Frodo e Sam encontram-se com Gollum ao qual subjugam e o tornam seu guia para o Portão Negro, a entrada de Mordor. Aragorn, Legolas e Gimli entram nas planícies do reino de Rohan na caçada aos orcs. Saruman ataca o Folde Ocidental de Rohan e nesta batalha mata o príncipe Théodred. Éomer, Marechal dos Cavaleiros de Rohan, é exilado do palácio e do reino com seus homens pelo conselheiro do rei, Grima Língua de Cobra. Nas planícies do norte, ele e seus cavaleiros atacam e destroem o grupo de orcs que raptaram Merry e Pippin. Os hobbits fogem para dentro da Floresta de Fangorn, onde encontram o ent Barbárvore e levam os ents a se unirem num conselho, o Entebate, onde devem decidir se partem ou não em guerra aberta contra Saruman.

Frodo, Sam e Gollum cruzam os Pântanos Mortos ao norte de Mordor, onde voltam a ver um dos Espectros do Anel montado agora num Falcão do Inferno. Após conhecerem Éomer; Aragorn, Legolas e Gimli entram em Fangorn onde encontram Gandalf, vivo e vestido de branco. The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (O Senhor dos Anéis: A Sociedade do Anel) é um filme de fantasia[2] dirigido por Peter Jackson e baseado no primeiro volume da série O Senhor dos Anéis, de J. R. R. Tolkien.

O prólogo, narrado por Galadriel, mostra o Senhor da Escuridão, Sauron forjando o "Um Anel", na Montanha da Perdição, com o objetivo de conquistar as terras da Terra-média. A Última Aliança entre Elfos e Homens é formada para conter as forças de Sauron, aos pés da Montanha da Perdição, mas Sauron mata Elendil, Rei dos Homens da Terra-média.

O filho de Elendil, príncipe Isildur, apodera-se da espada partida do pai, Narsil, e consegue decepar a mão de Sauron, separando-o assim do "Um Anel", e vencer desta maneira os exércitos do Inimigo. No entanto, por ter Sauron sua "força vital" conectada ao anel, não pode ser completamente vencido a menos que o anel seja também destruído. Mas só existe um local onde o "Um Anel" pode ser destruído: nas forjas da Montanha da Perdição, onde foi forjado.

Isildur leva o anel até lá mas sucumbe à tentação de poder que o anel dá e recusa-se a destrui-lo. Mas tarde é morto por orcs e o "Um Anel" perde-se nas águas do Anduin. O anel é achado pela criatura Gollum, milhares de anos depois, que o leva para as profundezas da terra, onde permanece por cinco séculos, corrompendo a alma da criatura que o capturou e dando-lhe uma longevidade além do natural.
